At the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup, which is being held for the third time and is eagerly anticipated by fans, a galaxy of stars consisting of great international cricketers and Kannada actors is scheduled to take the stage as the headliners.
Brian Lara (West Indies), Suresh Raina (India), Subramaniam Badrinath (India), Herschelle Gibbs (South Africa), Chris Gayle (West Indies), and Tillakaratne Dilshan (India) are some of the former cricketers who will be taking part in the competition (Sri Lanka).
In addition to the professional cricketers, the league will also feature appearances from a number of well-known actors. Star actors Sudeepa, Shiva Rajkumar, Daali Dhananjaya, Ganesh, Dhruva Sarja, and Upendra are a part of the teams, which gives them a more glamorous appearance. Ganga Warriors, which is captained by Krishna, will play against Hoysala Eagles, who is led by Sudeepa, in the first game of the season.
Kichcha Sudeep made the announcement on Thursday, 26 January, that the event that was supposed to take place over the course of two days will instead take place in Bengaluru rather than Mysuru because of safety concerns. “We would have wanted to host KCC-3 at Mysore, but because of security concerns (of celebrity cricketers and actors), we chose to shift the matches from Mysore to Bengaluru instead. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.” According to Sudeep, “Our objective is to provide KCC to all areas of our state, and we plan to do so in the near future.”
